My Favourite Things

Like in the song, these are a few of my favourite things (well places) in Folkestone

Restaurants/Eateries

Oriental Buffet - I am a very loyal customer and I do like the OB, the staff are always lovely and they remember me (which I like!) I can be a bit impatient to somewhere I can eat quickly is a must! Although I do like Kalala there are certain dishes OB does that Kalala doesn’t.

Van Scoffs - Korkers sausages come from very near my old hometown, and I missed them when I moved to Folkestone. Van Scoffs do an ace Korkers and Onion baguette. …mmmm!

Django’s - Brilliant food, always mega yummy! I love Django’s to bits and love going there on a Sunday!

It wont come as any surprises that my favourite 3 restaurants are all withing about 3 mins walk of each other!

Drinks & Desserts

I don’t drink alochol so this will be short and sweet.

Five-a-Day - there is nothing on earth that is comparable to a Bounty Milkshake on a hot day.

The Ice Cream Shop - Coconut (see a theme here?) and Panna Cotta ice cream is the business!

J&R Cafe - Just arrived on the Old High Street, they make lovely waffles with cool cream and fruit pieces.

Shops

Rainbow Bridge Crystals - My head is pretty much always turned by pretty things! I love the beautiful dream catches Sheila stocks (as well as window crystals and other such lovelies!)

Glamorous Goodies - a stall full of fantastic bath goodies at the Harbour/Arts and Crafts/Arc Market on a Sunday. My favourites include the Ocean Bath Bomb and the coconut mini bath bombs/fizzers.

The Music Room - I was a devoted customer when they were at Ashford, and was angry and sad when HMV (I think it was) killed off the good thing they had going there. I really hope that it doesn’t happen again when the new music shop opens up here as it’s a great shop!
